If you get the ick about the words 'Core Wounds' read this…
Apr 14, 2025I am getting some feedback that divine beings like yourself don't want to think about Core Wounds.
I mean really, who does want to think about the part of them that is difficult to touch, impossible to really understand how to shift and very painful? And above all no one wants to think of themselves as inherently wounded?
So I wanted to talk a little bit about why I use the word "wound".
I want to clarify and expand that I don't see the wounds as gaping, inevitable patterns that never heal, but instead as powerful reconnection points. Deep, visceral access points into the unconscious part of you that is unconsciously creating your reality.
So to ACCESS the core wounds and work with them is a massive reconnection point.
A space where you get to do the remarkable work of really meeting yourself. Meeting maybe the part of yourself that you haven't wanted to truly own, truly understand, truly see, truly feel.
That's why the word WOUND really is so appropriate….they're difficult to touch, you don't really want to get too close to them because they're incredibly painful, but they're actually just portals into a greater level of understanding of yourself.
So core wound is really code word for core PORTALS.
And the greatest resistance I find to this work stems from deeper conditioning around wanting to make things okay—letting them go, dissolving them, having them be over, having done levels of work and saying, "Okay, that's enough, I've done it." And then feeling like, "But hold on a minute, there's something that's undone."
This is because core wounds aren't just emotional fractures. They're actually a deeper design mechanism. And when I say that, I mean they're part of how humanity is coded, how humanity is designed. They're the factors that separate us from our essence and they deserve a serious amount of attention.
The Three Core Wounds
The three wounds of Unloved, Unworthy, and Unknown are primary factors that shape our human experience. These aren't just personal issues—they're profound gateways to explore our inner essence and truth.
We have an external experience of surviving. We're trying to survive the feelings of not being loved, surviving the feelings of not being enough, surviving the feelings of not being understood or safe emotionally and physically.
The wounds create the template of survival. It's no longer just about the physicality of how you find food or shelter or a mate—it's about how you protect yourself from these wounds.
Being brave enough to value these wounds and the unconscious aspects of self attached to them is profound, deep work.
Creates a portal for a shift of consciousness and a shift in reality.
This is very important work for humanity.
